Z-Boughs

Soft light late in the day highlights the texture of these fallen limbs. I was drawn to the colour of the lichen and bark and the zig-zag lines created by the branches. Allowing the background to be out of focus draws attention to the subject further. Maybe the dark twigs in the bottom right are too distracting?

A cold 10F and unlike Friday, my foot fall barely broke the surface of the frozen snow.
