Obstacles

Ice on Lake Padden is in the way, but wind and cold have not stopped us from paddling in the bay or at Lake Whatcom. The conditions do keep me from taking my mom on our regular outings, however. I look forward to getting back to Cornwall Park and beyond. But I wonder about my mom's energy. Today, after making it only a third of the way around the corridors, she said, "I want to go to bed." We kept moving but then dropped in on a Bingo game and stayed there till dinner time. She won a round.
