Moose on the loose

Shortly after leaving the house this morning, I drove past this moose foraging for breakfast. In winter they hang around looking for shrubs and such to nibble. In summer, when visitors want to see one, they are hiding in the forests or move to higher ground. Coincidentally, the Fish and Game Department are "counting" moose in Anchorage this week, in a second annual moose count so I will have to "report" her (him?).
