Another day climbing :-)  

I led a route which Mary followed and pronounced it horrible. The first move was horrible but by halfway up I was enjoying the climb. 

Then I began another route,  which truly was horrible and I decided I wasn't doing it, so I came down and Mary went up. She completed it but when I tried to follow... it was still undoable!  So then we had to retrieve the gear.

It took us a good while to sort out which bit of rope had to go where, and to make sure it was all safe for her to abseil down. Between the two of us we did it, but since I've never set up such a system by myself we've decided we should go to a suitable crag SOON so I can practise.  And no, that quick draw is not part of the abseil!
