The Club House

Another remarkable day of warm temperatures (after an early frost) and amazing light and stillness. We went to the R.S.P.B. nearby and spent a bit of time in the hide watching Siskin on the feeders (see extras). We walked about 5.5 miles at a very leisurely pace along the reservoir then up into the woods where we saw Peacock butterflies in a sunny clearing and Buzzards soaring in an azure sky. When I looked at my photos I liked this one of the boat club house as it really captured the light. After an ice cream back at the visitors centre, we returned to the hotel and watched the sun go down behind the hills from our lake view balcony. Still February. Pinch me.
