Spring unfurling...

MrM and I went up to the Common before breakfast this morning, in the hope of seeing some red squirrels. We didn't, but never mind - it was such a lovely morning to be out, and ridiculously warm. Much as we're enjoying this unseasonable weather, it makes us feel uneasy, to say the least.

And on the Common a very early Spring is unfurling - daffs in flower in the woods and beside the path, together with snowdrops and crocuses. Air filled with bird song. Male pheasants falling out with each other. Yellow and pink (extra) catkins in profusion. Trees beginning to bud...

It would have been lovely to stay out for longer, but breakfast and work called! For MrM, a day in the workshop, while I spent the day on bookkeeping with time out for yoga at lunchtime. Nice Open Mic. session at the local pub in the evening.

Thank you so much for stars and hearts for yesterday's entry!
