Flying High

This handsome fellow adorns the roof of the county museum.  Originally built as the county courthouse in 1892 it has always been a landmark building in our community.  It was designed in a late Victorian style and build with local red brick and sandstone.  Its beauty and architectural originality make it many times more beautiful than the modern monstrosity which replaced it and is now the courthouse.  Sadly, there are no bird embellishments anywhere.
