Natures painterly tulip

...this evolved from taking some photographs of my dying tulips. I took a close-up for today's Abstract Thursday's challenge: 'painterly'. 
I like the challenges, it goes from: I don't know what to blip, have no clue,
where is a blip in the house, try different takes, one was a look thru a water-glass, came out great but not painterly, so, go to the next subject etc. and here it is. Thanks Inge.
