The Birds.....

It is Abstract Thursday at Blipfoto, so when my friend Jane and I came upon these trees festooned with flocks of dark birds against the gray overcast sky, they reminded me of Japanese ink drawings and so I share them with you, under the days theme of "painterly".  They aren't Grackles because they aren't big and noisy enough.  They remind me of the swallows that nest under the bridges.  And just so you know, I didn't convert this to black and white----it really was like this already!
