Mother and baby seal

This afternoon we visited Wharariki Beach near farewell spit. We timed our visit to be close to low tide in the hope of seeing some seals, and we were enchanted by what we saw.
This mother was enjoying a bit of sunbathing while her pup was having lunch. There were also baby seal pups playing in the water which was amazing. I took lots of shots, but this one was my favorite.
