Nuthatch!!!

Not the greatest bird photo, I had to grab it fast, but can’t tell you how thrilled we were to see this visitor for the very first time in our small urban garden. A good example of how wildlife is finding a more hospitable welcome in the cities than in the rural monocultures. Nuthatches used to flourish in the countryside when I was a child. Now thanks to the urban gardeners they seem to be thriving again
