School gate

I was up at school this morning as both boys had football matches.

I couldn’t guess how many times I’ve been through these gates on foot and in the car, but I’ve never noticed this old sign mounted on the gate before.

It would be nice if was true for all who walk through them.

On my school gate were the words Sapere aude or Dare to be wise.

I prefer this one.
