Deutsches Architektur Museum

Three of us payed a visit to the German Architectural Museum in Frankfurt. This model shows the city centre of F., seen from an aerial point over the museum, depicting the time before the demolition of the Technical Town Hall (upper centre). This place has been recently rebuilt in a much disputed historicising style, much loved by tourists, at least. In the centre of the model is the Schirn art hall, to the right Frankfurt Cathedral (where German Emperors we’re crowned from 1562 to 1792; Mozart composed a piano concerto on the latter occasion). Outside the museum, lots of carnival revellers filled the streets.
