Birthday Cake

I baked a sticky toffee loaf cake with fudge icing for M's birthday (any excuse for a spot of baking, which I love!).  B came round for morning tea and coffee, and it was lovely to get the proper teapot out and all the best china.  We had a very convivial time and lovely to celebrate M's birthday.
M is at the age where he might have been worried that (according to a well known Beatles' song), I might not need him or feed him anymore.  Obviously this is not the case!  You'll note that I didn't attempt to add the appropriate numbers of candles to the cake though!
