Make Every Day Memorable

Great Green Macaws

Today I have started editing my Costa Rica images.
This is a composite of two photos taken in Tortuguero National Park.

The Great Green Macaw, sometimes referred to as The Military Macaw, is in danger due to habitat loss. There are about 2,000 left in the wild.
On the first day of our trip, a flock of about 15 individuals were feeding in the almond trees behind the lodge where we were staying. :D
The almonds are a necessary food supplement for breeding and these birds visited the trees throughout the 2 days we were there.
I was in heaven !
