Coming out of a wooded sction of path, the scene opened up to reveal a lovely sweep of ploughed land.

Then we spotted three figures, square and slow-moving in their heavy coats. Bags in hand, they stooped frequently and examined the ground, rummaged. We urbanites could only guess what this old-fashioned-looking rural scene was about: gleaning potatoes?
