Lift your eyes to the skies

Sunrise today was astounding but I was on a bus so couldn't take a good photo.

Here is the sky at midday, and which was nearly as lovely.

And tonight, I stood looking up again, hoping for Geminids. I was rewarded by the most amazing meteor streaking across the heavens. Only Jack the dog was there to hear me gasp.
