The Speed of Light

Over Engineering

Today I did a lunchtime dash to Kirkintilloch to see the wee man perform his duties as "Inn Keeper" in his nursery Nativity Play. It was the highlight of the day without doubt, despite his fidgety disposition and his penchant for proboscis explorsation.

I was 10 minutes early so went for a quick stroll to Southbank Marina. Took a quick panoramic shot from the apex of the most over-engineered bridge I have ever seen. This huge semi-circular footbridge curves for around 60 metres crossing the 10 mt wide Forth & Clyde Canal. It is supposed to look like the bow of a ship but to any on-coming canal boat it must look like the QEII looming out of the murky darkness. ICEBERG!
