Puhi Puhi Valley

The camping at Puhi Puhi was really nice, just two other parties and a starry night. No sandflies there, so sat out reading and trying to photograph the night sky unsuccessfully.
In the morning we drove up river on the gravel road to the Jordan Stream conservation area. A beautiful spot looking up at the seaward Kaikouras.
We then drove pretty much straight through to Havelock, stopping at a nice pub for coffee. The traffic was really bad getting through Nelson!
We arrived at our mates place in Upper Moutere, and the beautiful new home is now finished. It’s harvest time, the peaches, plums, apples, pears are beautifully ripening on the trees.
