Apologies for the dreadful quality of this photo, but it's the only record I have of Lulabel and Mabel's visit this afternoon. In the morning I'd made a vegan spicy parsnip-and-apple soup, which we enjoyed for lunch.

A day of torrential rain and gale-force winds. Unfortunately Minty doesn't seem to mind, although he's not too keen on the shower to clean his undercarriage after each walk.
