Orwell Crossing

Todays outing in the overcast day came across the Orwell Bridge. When it opened in 1982, it had longest precast concrete span in UK at 190metres with the two spans either side (anchor spans) at 106 metres with a total length of 1200metres and was an engineering industry in itself during construction. It now carries thousands of vehicles a day to and from the port of Felixstowe on the east coast of England.  The whole view makes a good wide angle although this image is a stitched panorama.
