Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

More whales

Ok I know when I can’t decide, I end up with a collage...but it’s late and here’tis. Today we went for a walk on the malecon ( breakwater, walk by the sea) in la Paz and then happened into the tourist office to an excellent art show of these grey whale sculptures interpreted by 3 artists. Most contemporary political statements . One of the artists was present so it’s his photo with his mosaic whale of all the indigenous Mexican cultures. The one in the very back says no borders no walls,... BellenoMorfas. (will try to post a link)
Reminds me of the pigs in Seattle and cows in Chicago interpreted by different artists.
Then we tried to go fishing and whale shark hunting but too windy so came back, had a siesta, and then a golf cart tour of the golf course ( which is long, very hilly and sculptured with deep bunkers , lots of gorgeous cactus...spectacular! ) so I could get photos for our golf pro son. Then Don made dinner including the best homemade flan ever! thank you Don. There they are ..on the golf course.... friends since 1971 at the UW. We’ve sailed a lot together and seen ( and blipped) him on Parker island but this is the first time we’ve visited down here.
Lovely day. More sights and art tomorrow....

Can’t seem to get a website... they are all in Spanish anyway, but if you happen to be interested in more photos, there is a YouTube and other pictures if you google BellenoMorfas.. :-). And you can practice your Spanish!
