Mad about the boy

Designed by Charles Henry Mabey and carved by Robert Jackson in 1863, this Grade II sculpture, entitled the Boy Statue, is a marble figure of a boy, set on a plinth. But no listing protects you from a pigeon sitting on your head. This was originally a drinking fountain sadly stopped. I love this park - 15 minutes here is better than a nap. A food seeking squirrel made me laugh out loud and I fell in love with the black swan on the lake in the extras.
