Leftovers

My turn to host book club so was all set to bake yesterday evening but the problem with power put paid to that.

One of the local home industry shop cake to the rescue. This delicious carrot and walnut cake is homemade just not by me.

It was a great afternoon where we had a full house, well full gazebo in the garden actually. It was the first time in five months that Cheryl was able to join us as she is going through pretty heavy duty chemotherapy treatment.

The sun shone and the air was filled with lots of laughter. Hard to beat really.
