Looking like aerobics in the woods...

... for this great spotted woodpecker, in pretty unpleasant weather.

I've added an extra shot, taken thirty seconds earlier, where the effects of the strong blustery wind and falling sleet are clearly visible. 

Despite the horrible weather, this made a change of blip subject from the last few days of candid street shots.
