Don't mess with me!

This robin was quite prepared to see us off! He was on the Pencaitland Railway Walk which we visited on today's bird walk. On our way there we were convinced it would be cancelled, indeed, hoping it would be as it was sleeting hard. However, as so often happens, it cleared up and was fine for birding.

I've included a rather fuzzy extra photo of a yellowhammer because it was a first for me.
