Walking to the nature reserve with James, TigerLily & ThePixie (real names of under 18's replaced for security) I spotted the sign on the gate.
Not much doubt as to where we were!
I've not seen one of those in this context before, although I've seen one or two old signposts (pre WWII) with grid references on them.
Very useful if navigating using paper OS maps.
