Couldn't choose just one

Left Salem snoozing on the couch and went for a nice long walk around the Washington Arboretum. There were lots of things to look at and admire and here are a few. The camellias are just starting to blossom but the hellebore in the Winter Garden were looking a bit tarnished after all the heavy snow. I was lucky to find one that seemed fresh. All through out the gardens, there were lot of tree limbs down too.

I stayed up late last night to finish Becoming, by Michelle Obama. It was due today.... Her perspective on being a politician's wife is very interesting. It is amazing how different things are today - what our current president gets away with that Obama would have been impeached and probably lynched for. I read up a little bit on what Michelle is up to now - she has started another one her initiatives and this one is about girls and education. 

One thing I can't understand and couldn't find any real information about is why the tickets to her book tour stops are so expensive. She's going to be at the Tacoma Dome later this month the cost of the tickets is comparable to a Beyonce concert. I guess good for her and she may end up spending a lot of that on her projects. Who knows.
