Magnificent magnolia

This tree is just behind my office, and I've been watching the progress of its swelling buds for weeks. Over the weekend the buds finally broke, and at lunchtime today I was greeted by this glorious sight.

Extra is a ridiculously dense display of blossom in a nearby garden.
