Four In-Hand...... Driving Dressage

This team of four were within 6' of the fence, coming in thunderously, heading for a 45 degree corner where all 4 horses had to keep on cantering, but complete a movement called a passage, sideways.   The front 2 moved laterally together, then slightly forward, kept cantering in place while the 2nd pair now passaged, laterally then moved forward as the carriage was pulled out of the corner and on to the next obstacle.   As the horses came at the fence, you could feel the feet pounding the ground (each horse was probably 11 or 1200 #).  You could hear their breathing as air was pulled in from the exertion,  the jingle of the buckles and the slapping of the leather harness.  The driver was using verbal commands, talking to her teams and encouraging them to be brave and go forward!
It was one of those experiences in a lifetime you won't forget because it was so exciting, thrilling, within 6' of where I was standing.......

In the extras I added a few photos of the 4 in hand negotiating the cone obstacles without knocking the tennis ball of the cone, as fast as they could go....
