Moorhen

An early start this morning as I was due at the dentist at 9.15 ... the journey that normally takes just over 15 minutes takes at least 30 when you find yourself part of the morning commute.  A painless visit so that's me for another 3 months.

Then L and I went out for coffee. We met up with L's pal June and after a cuppa and scone we headed out for a walk along part of the Forth and Clyde Canal.

No boats on the canal be we did see a heron, swans, mallards, a pair of tufted ducks, a female goosander and a number of moorhens.

We started our walk in the sunshine and by the time we got back to the car we were soaked :-((  That's just how the weather is these days!
