Doon Hill

Wide Wednesday theme is “Something in your Locality”. Overlooking our home is Doon Hill....although it’s all uphill from here!! Famous for its part in the Battle of Dunbar of 1650 when Cromwell defeated the Scottish Royalist forces led by David Leslie. Having done extensive research on my family tree I discovered that some of my ancestors lived in these parts at that time...wonder if any of them took part!
