Canal Dewatered

Fort Augustus, drained of water for about 4.5 miles - I pinched this pic from D's phone, he was passing there for his work today. They're replacing some of the lock gates, it's the first time in 200 yrs since the bottom of the canal has been seen. He wandered over to where he could see these guys with metal detectors, and was told they were looking for any trapped fish & eels. Then he heard them say they'd found a pistol! There was a flurry of excitement but no more info I'm afraid.
