Weihnachtsmarkt Entrance

A bit of a lazy Blip (like most of mine) with the reason that, weatherwise, it's foul here.

With all the bad news in the world, I just wanted to see something that was happy and bright.

I have a few friends in America who are teachers, and one of them shared a great story from her class. I hope she won't mind me telling it here :

"So was teaching students about trade in Ancient Greece....

JJ: "So the Greeks traded Olive oil for resources because they were mainly only able to grow olive trees."
Student incredulously:"Wait! You mean Olive oil comes from olives??!"
JJ: "Yes."
Student wheels turning: "So Vegetable oil comes from vegetables??!! "
JJ: "Yes, corn oil comes from corn etc..."
Student Shock and fear in her voice: "Wait! Where does baby oil come from??"
JJ (without missing a beat in all seriousness): "Babies. They just wring it out of them"

I would have loved a teacher like JJ. Thanks for that.
