Calm

First job of the day is to clear Claire’s room for floor sanding. Then, showered and radiant, I walk along the sea front, up the hill, and catch the train.

High point of the work day: Panas introduces me to “The Flavour Thesaurus” by Niki Segnit. This is my sort of recipe book - one that contains no recipes. I order a copy immediately.

Nick phones me from Planet Acme. He found the chickens wandering free, two missing, feathers everywhere. Time to revisit the chicken fence. And fire up the incubator.
