Orchid

The plant was given to me last August. It has been 'sleeping' over the winter, but whilst I was enjoying the heat in India it produced some buds and today this one is open in all its glory.
Another wet and windy day here in Devon.
Horrendous news from New Zealand. Thoughts and prayers to the families of those killed and in hospital.It is hard to understand how anyone can  perpetrate such an atrocity.  So much hate - and for what?
