It's a bit soggy

We travelled up to Harrogate today to play at the Harrogate Festival, and it went well.  We won our class (of two bands) and were awarded a distinction.

On the way up at lunchtime we drove over this bridge, and marvelled at how high the river was.  By the time we came back, it had risen 1.6 metres and had flooded the nearby fields.

I'm sure many news programmes will say that the river 'burst its banks', but Sharon always gets annoyed by this.  The correct term for this is apparently 'overtopping' because the water level rose up above the bank level.

Ths main blip is the upstream side of the bridge, where the extra is the downstream view from the middle of the river - the trees should be on the banks.
