Extraordinary days ...

... in Christchurch.

I left flowers at the museum today, after walking along all the fence - 1,000s of bunches of flowers & messages, all sending & sharing love and support for the ravaged Muslim community in Christchurch.

I then walked through Hagley Park to Deans Ave, to a site very near the Muslim mosque where many were killed and injured on Friday. I saw and heard a Maori Black Power gang saying that only love can deal with terror, thanking the Police for their superb actions on Friday (yes, really!) and doing a haka. All amazing!!!

It was all amazing & profound.
I’m stoked that the counter to terrorism in Christchurch is Love.

Our hearts go out to those who still don’t know if family are only missing, or dead. A terrible time of waiting. I believe that the total of people dead is 50, and that there are still many seriously ill.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful caring and supportive messages yesterday. It’s so heartening and encouraging, and so welcome. Your words are so warm. Thank you again. Nga mihi aroha. Thank you for your love.
