Vanishing mountain

Unfortunately Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas are suffering from pollution.   This is caused by forest fires and not helped by farmers burning off stubble.  The effects are not good and most people now have to wear face masks if venturing outside.  I have been quite badly effected and now have a cough.  I can't swim at the moment as I get short of breath. It's quite frustrating as going for a drive is pointless as you are unable to see any of the usual stunning views.   Normally you can see Doi Suthep mountain  when by the pool, now it has vanished.  As the sun starts to go down a vague outline appears.  This shot was taken around 3.30pm.  This is the worst smokey season, as it is called, that we have known in our three years here.  The authorities are doing their best to alleviate the situation by spraying water and discouraging people from using their cars.
