Peace

Over 100 people met together this evening for a candlelight vigil. It was deeply moving and a privilege to be part of.

Families came, couples, people on their own, teenagers with their friends. There were many tears, quiet conversations, and lots of silent reflecting.

It was an opportunity to do something, to stand with those who grieve even more deeply than we do. And some in that position were with us.

People who look me, people who look different, who have different cultural traditions, beliefs, and faith.

We are the same and we were together.

Peace

Today's gratitude: For the community I live in.
