Copley Railway Viaduct

MONDAY

It was a rest day today so, instead of a run over the moor at lunchtime, I took a 4 mile walk through North Dean Woods, down to Copley, along the canal to Salterhebble Basin, then on to Clay House and up the hill to home.

The blip, taken from the far side of the woods,  shows the 23 arch Grade II listed viaduct built in 1851 to carry the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway across the road, river and canal.
