Autumn crocus

Walked through the Gardens today and visited the wall of flowers and messages - as I walked through the gardens a procession of visitors came with their flowers. There were children lighting candles - one little boy very upset as some of the candles were out, his mum helping him re light them. It's the small details that have the most impact I find.

And then there's the armed police and the international media, and suddenly the city is a very different place to the one I left 5 days ago, and expected to come back to, till Friday. And the quiet sombre tone says that it will never be the same again.
