The Wern

Today was the first day of spring and it was a lovely mild and sunny day.

We went for a walk around The Wern Nature Reserve made from a former clay pit close to the Montgomery Canal. We saw hardly any birds although did hear some singing. It was lovely to see spring flowers dotted around and there were lots of scarlet elf cap fungi which are always lovely to see. We then went a short way along the canal before returning to the car.
