This year’s happiness report focuses on happiness and the community: how happiness has evolved over the past dozen years, with a focus on the technologies, social norms, conflicts and government policies that have driven those changes. Special chapters focus on generosity and prosocial behaviour, the effects of happiness on voting behaviour, big data, and the happiness effects of internet use and addictions.

Me and hubby had a breakfast in the Pyymäen Oma after we drove girls to their morning training. There's a demolished house nearby, thought it would be good for today's Wide Wednesday challenge  on the theme of derelict.

After work I went with my friend Pia to listen a lecture of sports psychology/ mental performance coaching targeted for young athletes. Developing mental skills is an essential part of being a successful athlete.

The top benefits of sport psychology are:

-Learning stress management skills to perform better under pressure
-Becoming more motivated and goal oriented
-Increasing self-confidence
-Identifying strengths
-Becoming more consistent in performance
-Increasing focus and concentration skills
-Enhancing overall life skills
-Social, emotional and ethical development
-Greater well-being, academic and social outcomes
