Retrieving the Lifeboat

Serendipity played a huge part in this photograph. I wandered down to the seafront this morning with a couple of ideas of what to shoot for todays blip when I spotted the lifeboat just starting to be retrieved from the sea. Took a whole sequence of shots as the boat was dragged up onto the beach, loaded onto its trailer and returned to the lifeboat station. The one I have chosen for the blip shows the point where the lifeboat is being winched on to its tracked trailer.
Incidentally this was a training exercise and not the aftermath of a real rescue.
