All pairing on the moors...

except for this lone Roe buck, in velvet. Frogs, in amplexus in the extra, were croaking, leaping and laying in every puddle, Oystercatchers, Lapwings, Curlew and Snipe were with partners and all around was the joyful singing of Skylarks.
It was warm, 14C, and delightful.
In the Gorse, there were Stonechats and Warblers.
Spring!!!!
Best of all, the Common Gulls are at their inland breeding site!
