The end of an emotional week in our little country at the bottom of the world.  This afternoon the Muslim call to prayer was broadcast and followed by two minutes silence.  I think as a country we have responded to the act of terrorism with compassion.  That ensures the gunman's purpose has been thwarted.  I also think our Prime Minister has lead this response.  Her public speeches have been thoughtful and compassionate.  Sadly we have all learned more about Muslim burial customs. The whole Parliament has put politics aside and our gun laws are going to change.  All military-style semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles will be ill legal.
