A Nation…..

………………….....…Reflects

This afternoon thousands of people gathered in Christchurch's Hagley Park opposite the Masjid Al Noor for the first Friday prayers since last week's mosque shootings - NZ's worst terrorist attack.

The call to prayer was at 1.30pm, followed by two minutes of silence in memory of those who lost their lives. The service was broadcast nationally across all major TV and radio stations - so many people across the nation paused and reflected in silence.

I have chosen a white flower as my blip today - because white is associated with purity and humility in Islamic culture.

As-Salaam-Alaikum - Peace be unto you

Kia kaha - Stay strong.
