A little project

I've been contemplating buying a monopod for a little while and at the moment have one on loan from a friend. As I don't think it's a very good design, and reviews on A----n confirm this, I started looking at other makes.
As I'm at the age where I feel that a little extra support would be beneficial on rough ground, I looked at combined walking poles and monopods. It soon became obvious that these were mostly just walking poles with a covered over screw at the top.
A minor incident on a walking holiday many tears ago caused us to buy two more poles so we now have a bit of a surplus. This one has been selected for conversion, it will probably be blipped again.
