Short-tailed Field Vole

We went down to Parkgate today as it was the high spring tide. The water covers the marshland and comes right up to the retaining wall. This means that a lot of the small mammals are driven to the edge where I managed to photograph this short tailed field vole. We were also lucky to see the short eared owl which would normally have been my main blip.
